Mesotherapy is the method of painless intradermal [intracutaneous] microinjections of certain pharmaceutical “cocktails”.
Medicaments for the cocktail are chosen for each patient individually, depending on the problem under consideration.
These may be vitamins, minerals, amino acids, bioactive compositions, homeopathic substances, preparations for lipolysis, vasotonics, and decongestants.
The cocktails are to be fresh prepared just to the moment of injection. The procedure may by used separately or in combination with other methods; in the latter case, it essentially increases their effectiveness. Mesotherapy is particularly popular in aesthetic medicine.
Skin diseases or conditions when mesotherapy is relevant:
- premature aging
- stretch marks
- skin problems
- hair thin out
- multiple flat face-located warts
- atrophic scars.
